Final Fantasy IX Mobile is shown off in Square Enix livestream

Right at the end of 2015, ampoule games publisher Square Enix announced that it would be bringing one of its most beloved Final Fantasy games, pilule Final Fantasy IX, to mobile (and PC) in 2016. The trailer they showed then was mostly cinematic and didn’t really give us an idea of what to expect, but we now have a better idea after Square Enix showed the first few minutes of Final Fantasy IX Mobile being played on its livestream. Check out the livestream below, though note the whole video is in Japanese – skip to 5:50 to see the actual game in action, unless you’re fluent in Japanese, of course.

What you will notice is that the graphics have been greatly improved compared to the original PSOne version, and I don’t think anyone will be complaining about that. If both the PC and mobile versions of the game look like it does in the video, I think we’ll all be very happy gamers (after we get over the $15+ cost of the game). We still have no word on when to expect Final Fantasy IX to drop on mobile, and we should also be wary that it will take some time for the game to be translated into English – the moral of the story is get comfortable, because we could be in for a bit of a wait.

Square Enix is putting Final Fantasy IX on Android in 2016

If there’s one publisher who’s keen to keep making money from prior successes, discount it’s Square Enix. Slowly, but steadily, the games publisher has been bringing its iconic library of older video games to mobile (at decidedly premium prices) and its next port of call is putting Final Fantasy IX on Android. The Final Fantasy franchise has fallen on hard times more recently, but Final Fantasy IX was released at the height of the franchise’s heyday. Featuring an emotive story, loveable characters and a familiar Japanese role-playing game format, Final Fantasy IX is widely accepted as one of the best Final Fantasy games.

We don’t actually know a solid release date (Square Enix just says “Coming Soon”) but we’ll be sure to share information as soon as we get it. Square Enix says that to play Final Fantasy IX, you’ll need a device with Android 4.1 or higher, so if you’re a lifelong fan of the game and that’s not you, it might be time to upgrade your dinosaur of a smartphone. Final Fantasy XI will also be launching on iOS and PC at the same time.

‘Tis the season to hand out the eggnog and hide in the back bedroom gaming on our devices. At least, physician that is my goal for the holiday season. Assuming I can ever get out of the kitchen long enough to get some gaming in at all. While the Play Store is littered with great games that are free or inexpensive, life
some of the ones we might be dreaming of having are just a little to costly. Square Enix has the reputation of bringing back highly popular titles from our gaming pasts, but not always making them what some people believe they should cost. The various Final Fantasy titles are the ones that come to many minds right off the bat. Luckily for us, Square Enix does put games on sale throughout the year and hopefully the discount pulls in a few purchases. Today is one of those times that Square is feeling generous as all the Final Fantasy tiles in the Play Store are 50% off.

Final Fantasy

With many of the titles sitting at $15.99 normally, the 50% off price tag of $7.99 per title is a little less harsh and a bit easier to explain to the significant other. The discounts don’t stop with the Final Fantasy series though as Square Enix also has Dragon Quest II and Dragon Quest VIII knocked down in price as well as Chrono Trigger. The full list, cost association and links for all are listed below for you guys to jump straight to your favorite title and grab it for the deal.

Get to it guys and gals, before the sale passes you by.

Two great classic JRPGs, health Final Fantasy III and Final Fantasy IV, viagra approved
are usually fairly expensive on the Google Play Store, but for a limited time you can get them for half off the normal price.

The games usually sell for $15.99 and are currently $7.99. This may still be slightly expensive for a game, but think about the quality you’re getting, especially since they’re remakes of the classic Nintendo games from Square Enix.

According to Google Play, Final Fantasy III was first released in 1990 and was the first title in the Final Fantasy series to become a million-seller. A full 3D remake was released in 2006. The story is about darkness falling over the land, robbing it of light, and four children being chosen by the crystals to set forth on a journey to save the world.

Final Fantasy IV, which was originally released in 1991, it was the fourth installment in the Final Fantasy series. It was the first game to introduce the Active Time Battle (ATB) system, “which has become synonymous with the series,” plus it introduced the Augment system, “which enabled the transfer of abilities from other characters and gave players an edge in battles.” The game follows dark knight Cecil who tries to prevent the sorcerer Golbez from seizing powerful crystals and destroying the world.

Either game is worth the price and a worthy addition to your Android game collection.
